Recovery Systems
Today I worked with Thalia and Emma M. we were trying to make a parachute that could fall at the lowest speed possible. At first we tried to make the strings longer but that didn't work. After that we tried making the string shorter, I'm pretty sure that the balloon fell at the same speed that time too. We tried to make a bigger parachute but didn't have the materials. I have a feeling that if we would have used a blow dryer the whole thing would have worked. With real life parachutes the person doesn't even open up the parachute until after falling for a bit, they do this because the impact of the air from both up and down makes you fall slower I think if we used the blow dryer to create that force it would have worked.

Remote Repairs
Today I worked in a group with Le'Jayah and Emma. It took us a long time to be able to get online and talk to eachother and in the end Le'Jayah wasn't even to get on the talk browser. During the time we were given we weren't able to complete the Robot things because of the chat problems. I think that if the computer was working we would have been able to do more, but it was a good thing to be able to learn and I realized there are going to be problems along the way but irs normal and you just have to deal with the problems.

Motion Detector Lab
Today I worked with Maya and Emma to make motion detector graphs I think you can use the equations we worked with on Thursday to connect the axes because they are using the same elements that we used such as velocity, acceleration etc. and you can se those equations to create points on a graph. Yes you can have zero acceleration and posotive gravity because if you are staying a constant speed you have velocity but because your speed does not differ you have no acceleration.

Moving to the Moon
Diving into a swimming pool: If you were diving into a swimming pool on the moon you would fall much slower than on the earth because the gravitational force is much less than on earth. Since the force is less you wouldn't go that deep but you would also come up a bit slower, depending on he depth of the pool if you were to push of he bottom you would come up easier but if you don't touch the bottom then you would be slower.Diving into a swimming pool: If you were diving into a swimming pool on the moon you would fall much slower than on the earth because the acceleration due to

Launching From the Moon
Today I worked with Jackie and T-Mike. We were doing he Launching from the Moon station. At first we just saw how things worked and what would be productive and good for the launch. After that we tested what we predicted to be a successful launch, it didn't work. We realized that the object that we were trying to send to the moon had to much drag so we changed the passenger object. We blew the balloon up really full and taped a straw to it. Then we took the fishing wire and stuck it through the straw to make a straight line for the balloon to shoot up, kind of like a ski lift. we attached k-nex to the straw and let the balloon go. At the steepest incine the balloon was slow ut i the end it made it to the wall.
